We’re pleased to share that Yang Bong (2021 cohort) has officially completed his EPSRC Horizon CDT Large Impact Grant project.
The grant enabled Yang to build on his PhD research by working with the Lun Bawang community in Long Semadoh, Sarawak, to co-develop a branding and marketing campaign. Alongside this, he shared his research through a series of dissemination activities across South-East Asia and the UK, helping to extend the reach and impact of his work.
Yang has written a reflection on the project, exploring the activities he carried out, what he learned and the lasting impact of the collaboration. It’s a great example of how the Horizon CDT Impact Grant can support students in taking their research beyond academia and creating meaningful, long-term engagement.
