Participants represented a true cross-section of disciplines that included linguistics, psychology, philosophy, AI, robotics, anthropology, ethnography, communication sciences, semiotics, cognitive science, etc.

As a designer and PhD researcher investigating robotics for chronic pain care through co-design, Angela gave a poster presentation about her research and had the opportunity to learn, meet, and network with others interested in HRI.

I met so many exciting people working in HRI, learnt so much and had some truly amazing experiences. To my fellow PhD students, I can’t overemphasise how much you should take advantage of these opportunities, and enjoy them as much as you can!
