Favour Borokini (2022 chohort) was sponsored by the Researcher Academy to attend The Cumberland Lodge Life Beyond the PhD Conference at Windsor Great Park, Windsor on 14th-18th of August 2023. This multidisciplinary conference brings together doctoral students from all disciplines and backgrounds to explore the value and potential of academic research, foster collaboration, and develop public engagement skills.

Favour was also one of 10 doctoral students from across the UK to be accepted onto the 10th cohort of the Cumberland Lodge Fellowship. A competitive application process is used each spring to choose the Cumberland Lodge Fellows which is open to doctorate students from universities and other higher education institutions across the UK. In addition to actively participating in the Fellowship programme and outreach initiatives, Cumberland Lodge Fellows get on-going staff mentoring and assistance as well as the opportunity to network with influential members of society and take part in or facilitate conversations with individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and viewpoints.
