CDT graduate secures new role

Recent CDT graduate Stanislaw Piasecki has secured a Postdoctoral Researcher position at the Institute for Information Law (University of Amsterdam). His research focuses on the use of AI in media and journalism from a legal and policy perspective.

Stan obtained his PhD at the end of 2022 and is a member of the CDT’s tenth cohort. His research project focused on the law pertaining to data protection.

During his doctoral studies, Stan was a visiting researcher at Chuo University in Tokyo working on issues related to the regulation of AI in Japan and the European Union. Stan also contributed to the Defense Against Dark Artefacts (DADA) interdisciplinary project, which looked at the legal and technical security implications of the Internet of Things (IoT).
