CDT celebrates 80th PhD graduate

A special congratulations to Laurence Cliffe, the 80th Horizon CDT student to successfully defend their PhD thesis. Lawrence passed his viva last week subject to minor corrections.

Supervised by Chris Greenhalgh (Computer Science), Adrian Hazzard (Computer Science) and James Mansell (Cultural, Media and Visual Studies), Laurence’s thesis is entitled Audio augmented objects and the audio augmented reality experience.

Laurence is currently a Research Associate at the University of Nottingham’s School of Computer Science, working as a Creative Developer and Researcher on the LEADD:NG project, an EDRF-funded initiative introducing immersive technologies to local SMEs and helping them to develop new products and experiences.

Congratulations Dr Cliffe!
