In August 2021, third year PhD student Eliot Jones presented his paper, Brexit, rural identity and the pursuit of epistemic trust in the era of online agricultural communities, at the RGS-IBG Annual International Conference.
Eliot’s study looks at how members of the UK farming community engage online in the aftermath of Brexit. This research sheds light on the under-appreciated political influence of such online groups, which is made possible by under-researched digital technologies.
