CDT alumni take on Transitional Assistant professor roles

Horizon CDT is pleased to announce that two of our alumni, Neelima Sailaja (2015 cohort) and Horia Maior (2012 cohort), have joined Horizon DER as Transitional Assistant Professors.

Neelima has been working as a Research Fellow for Horizon and continues her PhD partnership with the BBC, working on designing responses to the challenges of personal data leverage in future media experiences.  Through this research, Neelima has secured an EPSRC grant from the HDI network to work on the “Design of ‘Data Dialogues’ in Media Recommenders”.

Horia won one of the University of Nottingham’s EPSRC Prizes after finishing his PhD, securing funds for his Post-Doctoral Research position in the School of Computer Science. Horia stayed on as a Visiting Researcher at the Mixed Reality Laboratory before becoming a Lecturer at the University of Lincoln.

Congratulations to them both on their success!
