The Horizon CDT was delighted to close 2019 with the news that Shalaka Kurup (2015 cohort) passed her viva subject to minor corrections. Shalaka is the second student from the 2015 cohort to pass their viva.
Supervised by Sarah Sharples, David Clarke and David Golightly, Shalaka successfully defended her thesis entitled Traveller knowledge and the successful delivery of rail information.
Shalaka is currently working for Thales in Reading as a UX Designer/Human Factors Researcher.
