My Life in Data: The next generation of doctoral training

A recent announcement saw the Horizon Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) being awarded funding by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council to deliver a new 4 year PhD programme around the theme: My Life in Data.

A collaboration with the Connected Digital Economy Catapult and the universities of Nottingham, Edinburgh and York was also agreed to support the training of data scientists.

The Connected Digital Economy Catapult (CDEC) is working closely with the centres at Nottingham on identity, Edinburgh in data science and with York on intelligent gaming, jointly funding up to two students at each CDT annually for a five year duration.

Take a look at the Connected Digital Economy’s latest Blog written by Journalist Wendy Grossman which puts the spotlight on the Horizon Centre for Doctoral Training at The University of Nottingham in an in-depth feature article!
