Horizon CDT Director Steve Benford Awarded Prestigious UKRI Fellowship

The Horizon CDT is thrilled to share the exciting news that our CDT Director, Steve Benford, has been selected as one of three experts to receive support from a £15 million investment by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).

Steve’s work will focus on making AI more useful in helping us understand the world, ourselves and how AI works. By combining art and the human body, Steve will explore how AI can learn to deal with unclear instructions and use mistakes creatively, turning them into opportunities for new ideas through collaborations with artists.

We look forward to seeing the continued positive impact Steve’s work will have on the AI and academic communities.
