Digital Footprints 2024

Digital Footprints 2024

Horizon CDT students were invited to join the second Digital Footprints 2024 Conference at the University of Bristol (8th-9th of May), which focused on innovative forms of data to deliver social impact.

The conference was designed for researchers and practitioners from academia, industry, policy, and other fields who are involved in digital footprint data research covering a wide range of cutting-edge topics.

First-year student Bogna Liziniewicz presented her poster – Digital footprints as means of measuring loneliness experience and embeddedness in social networks for designing digital mental health interventions.

Third-year student Gregor Milligan presented his poster – Foodinsecurity.london: Developing a food-insecurity prevalence map for London – a machine learning from food-sharing footprints.

Third-year student Torran Semple gave a flash talk on Utilising User Data from a Food-Sharing App to Evidence the “Heat-or-Eat” Dilemma.

Second-year student Kuzi Makokoro presented a flash talk on Predicting Healthy Start Scheme Uptake using deprivation and food insecurity measures.

The Digital Footprints conference provided an opportunity for our students to connect with others who share their interests and enhance the impact of their findings.

Great job, everyone! It seems like the conference was a big success, and I’m sure there will be many more events like this in the coming years!
