Favour Borokini, a second-year CDT student, received an invitation to speak at the Systems Theory, Law and Digital Media Workshop at Birbeck Univeristy of London held in February. This workshop brought together specialists in social systems theory along with researchers and students who are applying it to current issues at the intersection of law and digital media.
Favour participated as a panelist on the Profiles and Regulation segment, delivering a presentation on her research titled “What Avatars Afford: An Afrofeminist Perspective on Profilic Communication via Visual Representations”.
