Last week, a group of fourth-year CDT students attended the two-day residential Horizon CDT writing retreat at Eastwood Hall in Eastwood, a short drive from Nottingham.
The goal of the writing retreat was to bring fourth-year students together, away from their everyday surroundings, to focus on writing for two days. Students used this time to analyse studies, complete literature reviews, collaborate with each other and organise thesis chapters.
Our students reported that the retreat helped them focus and achieve more than they could have at home.
