Shazmin joined the Horizon CDT programme as part of the 2018 cohort, graduating in 2023. Since then, she has held leadership roles in AI, UX research and digital health, contributing to companies like BlueSkeye AI, EPAM Systems, and Pure Health. Her work has had a global impact, spanning the UK and UAE.
During her PhD, Shazmin served as UX Lead at BlueSkeye AI in Nottingham, where she played a pivotal role in developing an AI-powered mobile application for expectant mothers. As she approached the completion of her PhD in 2022, she transitioned to Lead User Researcher at EPAM Systems, a global leader in digital transformation. There, she collaborated with high-profile clients such as Burberry, Kantar, Royal Mail and Elastic Search, leading research initiatives that integrated physiological sensors to enhance user insights.
Now based in the UAE, Shazmin oversees digital health product development at Pure Health, the country’s largest integrated healthcare network. She is responsible for leading the creation of an AI-driven mobile application to enhance healthcare services.
