The University of Nottingham, UK and it’s pioneering Campus in China, The University of Nottingham Ningbo China, opened the International Doctoral Innovation Centre (IDIC) in 2012, with the objective to train the researchers of the future and to help strengthen the links between the UK and China. The Centre spans both countries, helping develop 100 of the brightest young PhD researchers over six years, training them to become future leaders in the fields of energy and digital technologies, whilst helping to develop innovative solutions that will address major global challenges.
