We are delighted to congratulate Pavlos Panagiotidis and Victor Ngo (2022 cohort), whose paper Theatre in the Loop: A Rehearsal-Based, Collaborative Workflow for Expressive Robotic Behaviours was presented at the International Conference on Social Robotics (ICSR25) in Naples.
The paper, which was part of the special session on Robotics & Art, was awarded the Best Student Paper Award – a fantastic recognition of their innovative research.
In this work, Pavlos and Victor explored how theatre rehearsal methods, puppetry and dramaturgy can inform and shape the design of expressive robotic behaviours. The session offered a unique opportunity to share ideas at the intersection of art and robotics, and to engage with colleagues who are pushing the boundaries of both fields.
Presenting in Naples, surrounded by an international community bridging creativity and technology, made this achievement even more inspiring.
Congratulations once again to Pavlos and Victor on this outstanding success!
