CDT Founder and Research Leader Sarah Sharples Named REF2029 Deputy Chair

We are delighted to congratulate Professor Sarah Sharples on her appointment as Deputy Chair of the Engineering sub-panel (Panel 12) for the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2029.

Founder and former co-director of the EPSRC Horizon CDT, Professor Sarah Sharples has played a leading role in pioneering interdisciplinary research into how people interact with technology in everyday life, and she continues to contribute actively as a CDT supervisor. Now Professor of Human Factors in the Faculty of Engineering and Chief Scientific Adviser for the Department for Transport, Sarah brings a wealth of experience to this prestigious REF2029 appointment and is a key figure in shaping national research strategy.
