We are happy to share that Rachel Saunders, a final-year PhD candidate at the Horizon CDT, has had their latest paper published in the international journal Societies.
Rachel’s paper, titled “A Doctrinal and Newspaper Data Analysis of UK Policy for LGBTQ+ Asylum Seekers Following the Enactment of the Nationality and Borders Act 2022,” explores whether UK media coverage has influenced LGBTQ+ asylum policy since the Nationality and Borders Act 2022.
Societies is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal focusing on sociology, and is published monthly online by MDPI. Rachel’s contribution adds an important voice to current discussions on migration, identity and human rights.
