Victor Presents Research on Child-Robot Interaction at Designing for Bodies Conference

Victor Ngo, a member of our 2022 CDT cohort, presented his research at the Designing for Bodies Conference in Kolding, Denmark on 6-7 February. His paper explored how children and robots play and interact, shedding light on the emerging dynamics between young users and embodied AI systems.

This work is part of a broader exploration within the CDT into Embodied AI and Robotics, with a particular focus on empathy, pain, and play as core design considerations. Victor’s research raises timely questions about how we perceive these technologies and our responsibilities in shaping their development.

By bringing together insights from the arts, humanities and sciences, Victor’s presentation encouraged a multidisciplinary approach to designing embodied AI experiences—one that is ethically aware, socially grounded and creatively informed.

We look forward to seeing how Victor’s ideas continue to contribute to this important conversation around the future of human-robot interaction.
