We are proud to share that our talented alumni and students made a significant impact as key members of the ‘Brain Team’ from the University of Nottingham’s School of Computer Science at the prestigious Royal Society Summer Exhibition 2024.
The Summer Science Exhibition is the Royal Society’s flagship public event, held every year at their prestigious headquarters in central London. It is one of the UK’s largest outreach events, attracting over 10,000 attendees, including 2,000 secondary school students, with even more reached through TV, media, and online content. This exhibition provides researchers a unique opportunity to engage with the public, showcase their work and raise awareness among key stakeholders like funders and government representatives.
The ‘Our Future Living with Personal Brain Scanners’ exhibition stand showcased groundbreaking research on neuroscience and brain technology, offering an immersive experience into the world of brain science. Attendees were captivated by interactive displays, hands-on demonstrations, and thought-provoking discussions, gaining insights into the complexities of the brain. The exhibit prominently featured outcomes from our CDT alumni, including Serena Midha, Abigail Fowler, Horia Maior, and CDT students Callum Berger, Joshua Duvnjak, and Gift Odoh, who were directly involved in the research.
Our alumni and CDT students were essential contributors to this success, playing key roles in both developing the exhibit and engaging with a diverse audience. We couldn’t be prouder of their achievements and their contributions to the public’s understanding of neuroscience.
Congratulations to all involved!
