Congratulations to Professor Sarah Sharples, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Equality, Diversity & Inclusion,  Horizon Co-Investigator and Horizon CDT Co-Director on the appointment of Chief Scientific Adviser to the Department for Transport (to commence July 2021).

Sarah will be advising government Ministers and civil servants on all aspects of policy relating to science and technology. In addition, she will identify and share good practice about STEM-related areas and facilitate communication on STEM-related challenges for government.
